| A friend of mine, from Toronto, was trying to figure out why the wasps were collecting on this plant. I'm trying to figure out what the plant is, because it looks so familiar. ID help would certainly be appreciated :D |

| It is definitely English ivy, Hedera helix. The flowers tend to be very nectar-rich. |
|
| A rich source of nectar late in the year. In its natural habitat it is an important plant for butterflies and other insects as they go into the winter. The flowers in the picture are nearly over and the berries are beginning to swell. They will eventually be black and very decorative - but the reason it is such a successful invader in N America. |
