Thanks for the quick response and info. I've had it in a pot for years and it has never bloomed. Think it's time to plant in the ground. Thanks again, Jeannie :)

You might be pushing it keeping it inground in zone 9. This tree grows all over the Caribbean and is beautiful, especially in bloom.

It may need better sun to bloom, and probably needs hibiscus fertilizer, too. They need a different type of fertilizer than other blooming plants. And zone 9 probably gets too cold for it, Karyn is right about that.

Thanks, for the info. Maybe I'll just repot it in the spring. It's been in the same pot for many years and I usually just pull soil off the top and add new soil every spring. Thanks,Jeannie :)
