| Okay, not really. Otherwise I wouldn't be on this forum. Right? Anyways, this is yet another situation of "Hmm... something sprouted, let's see what it turns into if I let it grow..." And no, I'm not talking about the algae in the pool... or the passiflora on the trellis... or the basil... or the dried, recently transplanted elephant ear...

| Close, but the petals seem slightly different and the seed 'pods' on mine are long and thin instead of boxy. Still, I'm going to look at other Ludwigia's and see if there might be a closer match. |

| Taking your suggestion and running with it, I think I have a closer match: Ludwigia octovalvis. It has similar features to mine though some pictures show red blooms or seed pods. Which, for once, is a plant that is native to my region. Thank you for your help! |
