One of the joys for plant fans in buying a new house, is waiting and watching what appears. Unless you desperately need to renovate a yard I always think it's great to go a full year and see what emerges as the seasons progress. I've been watching your posts and you seem to be enjoying the discovery process and the tiny treasures along the way.
Don't forget to photograph the yard and label plants or mark on the photos where things are!

Thank you! I am most definitely enjoying my discoveries! Thankfully no renovations needed (just a little weeding). I'll probably give it a little more than a year, since it was so overgrown and I probably missed things at the beginning.

Good idea about the photos! I was considering making a map, but the pictures may be more helpful. I'm also "clipping" all of the pictures I post on here with a basic description of what it is (or may be) and where it is.

katisu, you will discover short and narrow blade like leaves from that spot next spring. Make sure you don't pull them out. Allow them to dry on their own. They will nourish the bulb/corm underneath and reward you with another delicate beauty such as the one in your hand.
