Maybe rose campion? Sage green fuzzy leaves, put out bright fushchia flowers in the summer. Spreading into the lawn...!!

Yes, rose campion. Just pull it up when it plants itself in the wrong place.

Or move to a well-drained garden bed. I find they are either a short-lived perennial or a biennial. But the magenta (and I mean MAGENTA) blooms against the dull grey-green leaves are spectacular.

I also like the way the flowers seem to float in the air because the stems are so long.
