Plz Help ID / Want / But Don't Know What It Is

This is going to be a fun one
LOL

Don't have a pic
But will try my best to describe

Green / Long stalk / Single flat leaf
The leaf is kind of in the center maybe 3/4 up the stalk
Then there's a stalk growing from the top of the leaf
And
The flower's red/reddish color & looks Pretty Similar to a Dragon Fruit flower

I know pretty sad drawing / But
LOL

In ALL Of My Years Of Being I Plant Freak
I Don't Recall Ever Seeing It Before
And
Would really love to get one

If what I'm describing even seems Close to something you know
Please let me know
'Cause I Don't Even Have a Clue Where To Start

And
I know it's a shot in the dark with my description

I'm in Long Beach / Sunny SoCal
Saw a small one about 3 weeks ago in a yard & thought it was pretty interesting looking

I've been in to plants for a good 20 years & in to say "Interesting / Uncommon" plants for a good 10 - 12 year & don't even recall ever seeing a pic of one
(Watch It Be Something Totally Common / LOL)

And now I just saw another one today
In a yard like 2 streets over from my house
And
It Was Big Or at least looked big
Couldn't tell if it was in the ground or potted/raised up
Will try & see if I can get a pic from the sidewalk

Save anybody the time of typing it
Knocking On The Door & Asking Is Not Really An Option

I can't tell if the leaves are thick or not???
But I'm Like 99.999% Sure That It's Not a Succulent
Maybe be wrong though???

When I read this, I thought it might some kind of Epiphyllum.

I thought Epiphyllum as well, but also thought maybe there is a sale on some type of garden ornament !

Not the best
But the best pic I got

Kind of hard to see 'cause of all the other plants around it
Leaf with yellow dots
The one that looks like a flat Dragon Fruit leaf

Pretty sure it's like the plant I'm talking up / Want
Will try to get a pic of the original one I saw / Wasn't exactly in my area
It was sitting alone & a lot easier to see
Looked cooler

But it's like my pathetic drawing
Long steam / Flat Dragon Fruit looking leaf / Not as thick as DF & a shorter steam with flower
???

Those are the spent flowers of one of the night blooming epiphytic tropical cacti. Had you visited that plant at midnight, you would have been treated to quite a show.

These interesting plants bloom for one night only. A popular houseplant.
