Tall Yellow Flowers in SC

Hi! I bought a rose earlier this year, there was a small weed in the pot with it. It was small, leaves only, I thought it was a vinca so I left it alone. Over the summer it turned huge, it's about 5 ft tall. At the end of the branches, there are round buds, only one blooms at a time, 4 petals, very starry and nice. We are in South Carolina.
Please tell me if you know, I love these yellow flowers, I'd love to be able to take care of it (though, it doesnt seem to need much care)
