White flowering and fragrant Bush

Posted by planterjake 7/KY (My Page) on

I saw this bush at the Georgia Aquarium the Friday before Halloween. It was a green leaved bush with white fragrant flowers, it smelled so good. Does anyone know what it could be.

Thanks,
Jake

I would definitely look up gardenia based on when it was blooming.

I would like to know what this one is. Found on Cape Cod near a pond. I have also seen them in the woods in CT.

Clethra alnifolia, summersweet. Lovely native shrub, very popular with pollinators.

(FYI you'll get better results if you start your own thread rather than piggybacking on an old one.)
