| I saw this at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Antonio, TX and fell in love with it but I can't find its name anywhere! The closest I got was that it's maybe a "bottlebrush" shrub like the genus Callistemon, or Melaleuca, both of the family Mrytaceae. But, by my reckoning, the leaves are different, these are stubby and rounded compared with the Callistemon. So this is the part of my investigation where I beg the forums for help. Any would be appreciated!
Helpful clues: seeds grew in large pods, approximately half a foot long. It's as big as a tree, like Crepe Myrtle size. Thank you, and I can post other pictures if need be. |
