I don't think it's Carprobrotus edulis because that has leaves which are roughly triangular in cross section. Also the dead flowers don't look quite right. I know nothing of the other suggestions but it does appear to be Asteraceae so maybe not Portulaca. I have to confess that succulents are not something I've ever got interested in. I only know Hottentot Fig from walking coastal paths.

Some of the leaves appear to have slightly serrated edges. Or maybe fine spines?

I'm going to backtrack - I think it probably is Carpobrotus edulis after all. The triangular leaves are maybe just not clear in the photo.

I still see leaf tips which are too rounded to be C. edulis -- and no indication that they could be triangular in cross-section.

And many of them are very finely -- well, if they were flat leaves, I would say "toothed," but I don't know the correct botanical term to use re. a softly cylindrical/conical leaf.
