Someone planted this plant in my planter in front of my building. Can someone help me identify it please?

OH...I thought of Kale at first but I thought it was Purple

Kale is very nutritious, too. Mix it in your salad greens. Maybe a bird donated a seed or two for free!

Are there similar planters elsewhere in the neighborhood? Maybe your local government planted them.

[I remember years ago running an errand in downtown Chicago, and near the door I entered was one of the City's large square planters, 3 or 3 1/2' high. There was a tree in the middle of the planter, and just inside the edge, a neatly-spaced border of ornamental kale plants. One of the plants was conspicuously missing, and I wondered if some knowledgeable homeless guy had made a meal of it....]
