I fail to see the stem these leaves can be Cnidoscolus aconitifolius but also of Carica papaya (if, it has latex is the first)).

Is this a houseplant, a vine, or a shrub? Any chance it's just a plain old maple seedling?

The leaves are reminiscent of a maple, making me think of an Abutilon hybridum and in particular the cultivar 'Albus'.

That very distinctive lobing also reminds me of both the Silverleaf Grape and Summer Grape. Could you be dealing with a grape vine? The leaves are quite similar.

Tithonia diversifolia, the tree marigold or Mexican sunflower is a shrubby plant that has a similar leaf. Some have a leaf that has three distinct lobes that is more reminiscent of a sassafras leaf but there is one that has five very distinct lobes that are as sharply pointed as yours.

One last thought, does it bloom? Do you see any remnants of what could have been a bloom when you got it? Just wondering if it could this be Hydrophyllum canadense (Canada Waterleaf).

Do post what it is if you figure it out, or more pictures that show it's growth habit and any blooms. Seeing the stems, underside of leaves, and leaves at different ages would help as well. Also, if it is a real maple seedling, it should lose its leaves as it is a deciduous tree.

Stem and leaves on right look like classic tropical papaya.

Also wondering if it could be a small hybrid sweetgum.

The more dissected leaves do look like Papaya.

I'm sure it's papaya.If you were to cut the main stalk,couple of small sprouts will grow from the cut.Multiple stalks will create a bushy appearance like yours for example.Young plants has smooth,gentle leaves but as they mature and harden they will be leathery and have pronounced edges.Seems like some of your older leaves are maturing though.
