From your description of yellow flowers, I guess it may be Siberian peashrub, Caragana arborescens. The link below shows images of it. There are weeping forms and upright forms.

I second the jasmine id. There will almost certainly be rooted stems in under it as Ken suggests.

Definitely primrose jasmine. I have this in my yard and it's a monster!
