I was given this plant as "Pseudo Porterweed" and I don't think it's a Stachytarpheta because the flower spike doesn't look like a rat's tail like members of that genus. It keyed out closer to the genus Bouchea but none of the three species in the key were it. It's shrubby to 8' tall. Beyond that I'm clueless.
