| Could this be a Lilac Bush?
It is right next to a white birch but it has already died during the drought. Will leave it till next year but I don't think it will come back. The mystery tree/shrub looked great though. |

| You can see behind these is a japenese maple as well, though it is stressed from the drought and I'm not sure how much of it will survive. I know some sections are dead and some branches still were flexible. But everything is all jammed in there. Possibly the elm and redbud are volunteers and now one cleaned them out away from the birch. But I'm sure the birch is dead. We like a more natural landscape so maybe it will look ok to leave them together? I'm just not sure. |
