It looks like Malva rotundifolia.

I've seen Malva neglecta look like this when young. It is a possibility too.

Although many websites mention about lots of medicinal benefits of these plants they also warn to be cautious . It's like catch 22.

It's "cheeseweed".

Aside from a snack for cats (they like it and it's non-toxic) it's just a weed. It has very few of the properties of the domestic and medicinal species.

I included the Plants for a Future link to M. neglecta below. The site lists the edible, medicinal, and other uses of thousands of plants. Always a great resource for research into the usability of plants.

It rates M. neglecta as having 4 out of 5 for edibility and 2 out of 5 for medicinal uses. A "weed" is a label with much variability! :)
