Probably an annual seed. The seed pod is flat and narrow, about 2 inches long with about 10 flat seeds that resemble tomato seeds. Never saw the blooms. My local nursery let me have leftover annuals they were throwing out. This one was tagless and had the seed pods still attached. Any ideas? Thanks!

A cleome? FataMorgana

My image isn't very sharp. These seeds are flat like a tomato seed, not round like a cleome. The potted plant was small, in a 6 inch pot. I seem to remember it was only about 10 inches tall.

Yes! I think you nailed it saltcedar. I looked matthiola incana up and found similar looking seeds and pods. It should be fun waiting to see what color blooms grow from these seeds. Thank you both very much for your help.
