It's a Begonia - one of the cane stemmed ones. There also appears to be a second plant in the pot, maybe a Kalanchoe. The House Plant Forum can help you on care but in general terms most house plant problems are caused by insufficient light, hot or dry conditions and too much water.

should root pretty easily ... if its the right type ...

ropot some new ones.. put in plastic pots ... get rid of the ugly one ...

P.S. YEs! That's a baby kalanchoe plant creeping up down at base! :-)

They are easy to root (this kind has no tuber Ken). The long gangly stem could be cut in pieces and each one could make a new plant. The basal foliage could be left in place to make a nice bushy plant. A nice variety as regards the leaf shape and markings.

Agreed, easy to propagate, but I would do that outside this summer. I don't have much luck trying to do that on plants inside for winter. It should bloom, in theory, though some Begonias just don't do that much.

Begonia 'Gryphon' maybe? It's very pretty.
