What is this blub like plant?

This plant is growing in a old garden of a historical 1911 bungalow house in La Verne, CA, Zone 9, growing under the broad branches of a native oak tree. This is not a native plant and it looks like some sort of bulbous plant maybe related to the amaryllis family.

When I saw the flower, it was pure white and made some spider like pedals.
