I'm wondering if it's a trailing plant and perhaps a member of Gesneriaceae. I could be going in the wrong direction.
Has it flowered?

RE: Id.vine

My guess would by Gynura sarmentosa, Purple velvet plant.

The leaves are the wrong shape for Gynura, unless there are points on the edges of the leaves that are just not visible from this angle, which does look possible. If that is what it is, it desperately needs more light, some direct sun.

More importantly they all appear to have alternately arranged leaves.
That should exclude this plant.

Here is a link that might be useful: The genus Gynura

Other than then velvety texture it looks a lot like a Fuchsia. A lax, etiolated specimen could well be described as a vine. I believe some of the F tryphyllas, eg 'Coralle' have soft leaves??? Could we see the terminal bud in focus?
