Is this Luziola fluitans? The stems are rooted in shallow water, 0.5 to 2 feet long, branched, rerooting at nodes, with leaves to 0.1 inch wide by 2-3 inches long. Most leaves are terminal, and floating on the water's surface. Leaves have 5-8 parallel veins each.
