Got a prayer to spare?

albertan

A year ago when I was so very sick following a simple surgical procedure, I swear that prayers from my forum family brought me 'round the bend. Today I had a bone marrow biopsy and I would appreciate just one more if you have one to spare. Waiting for the results for two weeks will be the hard part. I'm off to bed now, with my ice pack for a bed buddy! Thanks in advance. Alberta

Bless your heart (and body), Alberta. I can't imagine waiting two whole weeks for results...geeze! Anyway, prayers are already coming and will continue until you sound the "all clear".

(It's a good thing we don't have to share a bed. My heat packs would melt your ice packs. lol)

    Hugs and more hugs...Maggie

Alberta Dear Heart, you will certainly be in my prayers! I hope to see you at our OS meetings, too! That should help pass some time until you get (GOOD!) results from the tests.

Hang in there, Dear. Two weeks is an awful long time to wait for something like this. I'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best.

I hope a heartfelt Namu Amida Butsu counts, and that reading the posts here helps pass the time and lets you know you're in our thoughts and prayers.

Painful? Very transitory sciatic-like pain. Felt like I was kicked by a donkey (but a very OLD donkey) that night but am fine now. Just the waiting. And thank you all for the support and prayers. It does help more than you will ever know!

    Hi Alberta,
I'm so glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please try to think happy thoughts, and I hope the wait won't feel as long as it is. I wish you the best, and hope to hear from you very soon.

lol....Alberta, when they biopsied my pelvis, they broke the biopsy needle off in the bone....I guess I'm a real hard _ _ _ . The only thing which made it a little better is that the guy who did it was a Dr. Wescort (Westcott?) who invented the particular biopsy needle which broke. :) Just to give you a little chuckle....

Alberta, hope you pass this test with flying colours, can they give you any preliminary rslts in 1 week- if they are not waiting for special stains, this way your mind can be at rest. And Michigoose you are a tough nut ..lol

Lisa--I'm chuckling--I'm chuckling! Tell me, how did they retrieve the broken tip--or do you still own it (as in "possession is .9 of the law)?
Sambac--Two reasons: My doctor refuses to give out anything but the final answer and #2 I also suffer from "Ostritch syndrome." You know--the keeping your head buried in the sand bit. Yep--I'm chicken! But it's only another week, now......... and I KNOW it will be negative!!! Won't it?

Yep Alberta, it's still in there. I asked the doc if it would ever "move." and he said "You've got to be kidding. It's in there. This has never happened and you have VERY tough bone." Gives them quite a start when they do CTs, bone scans and MRIs.

Yah. I said it's negative, there fore it will be. ; )

Did you get charged extra for it? What a novel souvenier!! And that accounts for the extra weight you are carrying! All the time you have been blaming innocent truffles...!?!
