Networking for a new job

| Is this too weird a topic for here?
So, Monday my position was eliminated.
My most favorite next thing to do would be
- in a green tech business
- in the MN Mpls/St. Paul area
- cold call leads
- business-to-business
- to set up initial introductory/sales calls
Except for the green tech part, I've done this for the last 12+ years, always in some flavor of high tech company. I figure I can learn the basics of green packaging, or whatever.
Any tips greatly appreciated. Gotta keep those 'chids in sphag.

| Bummer about your situation. I think the topic is perfectly fine for here, but this place is soooooo dead these days. Wonder where everyone went to? Have you checked out the State sponsored job center thing? Sorry, can't remember the official name for it, but I think you know what I mean. Many years ago, I paid one of these a visit and actually got to sit down with one of their councilors. I remember it being a good experience, but that's about all I remember. I'm sure they're very busy these days. K |
