It's always been this way, Kevin. You have to be a smart shopper and check. Most of the time the larger sizes are cheaper per oz (or whatver measurement), but sometimes the smaller sizes are the same or cheaper. It may have to do with the price at the time the store bought the item rather than thinking they are trying to cheat you.

Of course with larger sizes you don't save anything -- and it can even cost you more money -- if you end up having to throw half of it away because you didn't use it all before it went bad.

I think the shrinking cereal box scam is well known by now (they have been making them smaller front-to-back and keeping the same price or even raising it) but I don't buy cereal anymore so it doesn't affect me. I appreciate the stores that post the price per ounce on the shelf even if it's in teeny weeny type :)

I get aggravated to see these games being played with English and also metric measurements. WHO are "they" trying to kid?

I get REALLY aggravated when I see a "trusted" manufacturer (PURINA) pulling that crap. After 45 yrs as a customer, I don't appreciate this. It's getting worse with PURINA. Yeah, I know....it isn't the same ol' PURINA....sorta.
