Last Sunday it was in the mid 50's F. Beautiful day. Most of the snow was gone. I decided to uncover the pond, but the stakes holding the tarp in place were still frozen solid in the ground. No crocus around here yet. Monday a big snow storm blew in and we ended up with around 8 inches of that really heavy wet stuff. It's melting fast, but spring is late this year. That's for sure.

lol@ brooke - you're right :) I'm just overly eager! At least my orchids know it's spring - they're sending out new growths...which reminds me that I need to rig up some sort of automatic watering system for the summer out-doors since I won't be living at home with the chids...I'm thinking some sort of drip hose on a timer, hung up on the fence where the orchids are would work.

K - sorry to hear about the snow - I'm looking forward to your sanguinaria pictures though if you take any!

Just be lucky, i'm in Toronto and I still have a pile of snow in my garden. I guess that's the downside to a well sheltered area.

Seeing everyone else with bare ground is driving me crazy though. I did manage to prune out some branches from the sour cherry tree in my garden last weekend.
