CBC mentioned it on the news yesterday and just about crashed the site. It was up again last night though. We were watching it yesterday and the Daddy brought home something black and furry for Mommy. She spread the furry bits around the nest, but also ate some of it.
A fellow who works for Parks in Victoria told my daughter that he has often seen collars and dog tags in eagles nests. Hope we don't see daddy tow home a little doggie for the kids to eat...

Dotty, the urban raptors definitely prey on what's available and are capable of carrying off a small dog/cat. Ever hear of the Pale Male story, the Red Tailed Hawk in New York City? Below is the link to PM's site, the pictures are astounding.
