At 6 AM today I went to Amadeo, near Tagaytay Ridge, for some business. Ordinarily it takes about two hours to do this but on a Sunday it took me only an hour as the highways had little traffic. On the way home I stopped by a solitary fruit stall for some fresh green coconuts (for juice, and the tender meat inside is heavenlyÂ), which cost around 34 US cents each in Manila supermarkets. The lady charged me only US 18 cents for each, I was happy with that.

So, I moved on to other fruits in the stall. One whole bunch (spike, lol) of latundan bananas, US$2. ThatÂs perhaps 4 kilograms. Two big papayas at US 30 cents a kilo, vs. double that in Manila supermarkets. Pineapples at US 20 cents each. She was happy with my purchase; I was given three avocados for good measure.

Would you be happy if it were you? Someday I would be living thereÂ
