Technology is really awesome. This article (kind of old news) describes how scientists found a patch of unexplored forest in northern Mozambique when scrolling through google earth. They explored it in 2009 and found tons of rare and endemic species, including an incredible pygmy chameleon, lots of birds, butterflies, and orchids too. I'm secretly hoping that they found new angraecoids there.
I really hope that these species will be catalogued and this precious patch of land protected.
