We always called it coyote salad, for entertainment's sake.

I've had it before with avocado, garbanzos, and tomatoes almost marintaed in a brown dressing that had worcestershire sauce in it.

I remember it being very good, and I don't even like squash.

it's a bizarre thing - like a pear but with a wrinkled bottom, flesh like an asian pear....

I made a simple salad with cubes of it yesterday - but because one of the lunchers didn't like it raw, I boiled it for a couple of mins, then chilled it. It stays cruchy even after boiling and basically tastes raw.
