WANTED: I have orchid seeds from Turkey, would like Plumeria see

Hi everybody,

I ordered what was supposed to be plumeria seeds from a guy in Turkey (his ebay id is - sirpoetryand mine is dominic1964 if you want to look up the transaction) I somehow wound up with these itty bitty seeds in sealed plastic pouches and are marked wih a card "plumeria orchid."

They came with really difficult growing instructions (I have never grown orchids from seed and don't even understand the directions!).

Two packets say "Fire PLumeria Orchid" and the other 3 have "Plumeria Orchid - Plumeria Pudica". They are definitely not plumeria seeds (at least not like any I have ever seen). These came from Turkey so maybe they are something new to you guys? If you are interesed please let me know. I would like to have any plumeria seeds, especially rainbow or peach colors, but any would do!

Best wishes,
Jerri

I hate to be the barrer of bad news, but that person is taking alot of peoples money on ebay. He almost took me for a ride when i looked up his history and retracted my bid real fast. Not sure what to do about the seeds except to either try to grow them or trade them. Sorry whisst

Hi whisst,

Thank you for the info. I hope you guys don't think I'm trying to put anything over on you. I do think they are orchid seeds, but they sound quite difficult to grow and I'm not even gonna go there! Thought maybe someone here might want them, although I guess I can't guarantee they're orchids as I've never seen orchid seeds, guess I will just wait a few days, if no one wants them will toss in the trash.

Best wishes,
Jerri

I got curious about these. I didn't come up with the plumeria orchid but I bet it's not an orchid. Orchid seeds are usually microscopic.

You may want to attempt growing the plumeria pudica. It looks interesting. It is also called white frangipani. I linked to a picture for you or anyone who wants to trade with you.

Sorry. My two plumerias are small cuttings that have never bloomed. No seeds from me, lol!!

Good luck with your trade,
Mimi

Hi Mimi,

Thanks for the info and the great link. Have found out on another forum the seeds are way to small to be plumeria. Still think they are orchids (teensy tiny) little guys. If anyone wants to try them I will just mail them, I hate to throw them away. Directions say to start in flask...so am thinking orchid seeds and there are quite alot of them.

Best wishes,
Jerri
