My coworker has an ice cube orchid from Walmart that's doing REALLY well as far as putting out buds and blooming, but the leaves are starting to look sick. Any ideas what's causing them to change colors like this?

that could be cold damage. the leaves will turn reddish when they're in too much sun. also, don't use ice, it shocks the roots too much. use room temp water

Where is the plant being grown?

pinkiemarie, I can't really tell with your plant, but Phals which have dark colored flowers, such as dark purple or reds, normally have red undersides to their leaves; it's hereditary. Cold damage will change the whole leaf, especially at the leaf tips.

Thank you! I think you guys have solved it. We live in Montana and the plant sits near a window to get the best light. It must be too chilly there. We'll move it ASAP. Cody, do you know how much water to use? The directions said 3 ice cubs and I know that's not much water, but...I'm obviously afraid of overwatering.

just run water through the pot until the roots change from gray to green

I keep my orchids in our bathroom along with a beta fish. I use that water for the orchids. My husband has not complained, yet. I have about ten different ones.

Melt three ice cubes in a glass and measure that water if you are worried. However, you don't need to do that. Just run tepid water through the pot until the medium is thoroughly wet and then allow it to almost dry before watering again.

I don't think you can over water an orchid in one watering. Over watering happens from watering too frequently. So you don't need to worry about how much water you are giving your plant. Focus on mastering how often you are watering.
