Leptotes bicolor spike?

What do you think? New leaves and roots haven't looked like this, but it's never spiked before.

I finally gave in and remounted the thing. Maybe it would have spiked in the pot...

WC, I can't tell from from your photo, but all Leptotes spike from where the leaf joins the bulb, at the base of the leaf, not the base of the growth. Leptotes are part of the Cattleya Alliance and bloom from the same location as a Laelia or Brassavola would.

My bicolor has a bunch of buds on it now and blooms reliably at this time of year(Leptotes unicolor blooms a month earlier), but it seems to be a slow grower and is taking forever to fill the mount (bareroot on cork).

I agree with cjw.
I have some leptoes ant they bloom from the top of the pseudo in the leaf...
not a spike, sorry.
