Transporting flowering orchid

Moving to FL in 6-8 weeks (FINALLY!!!) one of my phals will be in the middle of flowering for the first time ever and another just started a spike. I really hope to not lose either. How would you suggest packing it? It is an 11 hr trip. Have moved before with many house plants but never with flowering orchids. Leaving my plants behind is not an option for me.

Don't leave them in a hot car. Water before you leave. Put them in a box or something to protect the spikes.

Not much different than transporting any other plant. The only thing which will hurt the flowers would be a hot or cold car or getting knocked over.
