| Saw your picture that you had posted of your "Twinkle" all naked and unpotted. I couldn't see what you had it potted in. Just got another twinkle awhile ago,was hoping for some hint of better success than I had last time.

Sorry not real good at posting and pictures yet, still very tentative about so much of this techy stuff. I really do "need to get with the program ", as my dear dad says. Yes mine really is a "Twinkle" and right now is potted in bark and I'm really not all that good with bark. So I was kinda curious as to what Jane was potting in since her's looks so great. ginnibug |

| Hi ginnibug, sorry I didn't see your post. In the midst of moving and feel like I'm about to keel over. I have all my Oncidiums & Ondont hybrids in a mix of Aussie Gold, small bark and sphag. I've had good luck using AG but do mix it with some small bark and sphag. It produces a nice, free draining mix. I am a bad waterer and use the bark and sphag to hold some moisture. I tried AG alone but it dried out too fast for my watering habits. The AG seems to allow good root growth. Jane |

| I just wanted to add, Psychopis loves AG. I know someone had posted about potting mixes for this plant, I'm not sure if it was you. I have have the best results with straight AG with my Psychopsis. I think most people grow these too damp, same with most of the Oncidiums. They really do better drying out. I hate recommending AG because its expensive. I'm sure there is a way to duplicate it but I don't have the time or enough plants to bother. Its easier to buy a bag and stretch it with some bark or sphag. Jane |

| Hey great Jane! We must be long lost separated sisters. I too am starting to move away from the bark stuff and move more toward an AG type mix. Right now I'm mixing dolomite limestone/perlite/and a promix type media. Depending on what type of plant I'm potting, depends on what ratio of mix I use. Thanks so much for everybodies time and responses.ginnibug |

| That's the other funny thing! I was just thinking about one of those sweet alba type Psycopsis.ginnibug |

I always knew my parents had some skeletons in their closets. Make sure you post a photo of that Psychopsis. Sounds cool! Jane |
