| I was wondering when is a good time to move your orchid to display its bloom? I know the flower needs the light to open properly? Can u move it in bud? And when? |

| I would leave it outside until the bud cracks but face it early in bud development as the flowers will open facing the light source. So determine which way you want the flowers to face and then point them. Rain can spoil your flowers as it leaves spots on them, if it's expected to rain move budded plants inside. If you want them inside sooner for some reason, light is not necessary for the buds to open. If it's a pendulous stalk and you wish to stake it, do so early. All the flowers will face in the same direction and if you allow them to open and then stake, it looks unnatural. Nick |
