Red /pink leaves

I have a enc randii that has red leaves. I have read that it means its getting too much light but i also saw somewhere that it can mean too little light.how do you tell the difference .(also have a cat doing the same thing ) alot redder then you can tell from pic

Generally too much light causes reddish leaves. Additionally high light levels lead to yellowish green leaves like some of the ones on your Catt. But the yellow is not an indicator of too much light, just high light. On the other hand too little light leads to dark green leaves. These are the generalizations that I use pertaining to light and leaf color.

I think it is normal for Encyclia randii to have reddish leaves.

The main one im worried about is the one cat cuz its leaves r pink and almost see threw. And considering these orchids are under 2 flourecent tubes i dont think there getting thr high end light to make them go red ....
