Moisture is so important with these. They have a growth habit that is very rambling (long distance between growths) so many people grow them mounted.

I've grown one in a wide pot for a couple years with fine bark and it has done well. Once I recently discovered someone here grew a number like this I've resolved to grow others like it. The key is the pot needs to be wide and shallow (search for bulb pans to see what I meant).

I water every day during the summer growing outside and every few days in the winter indoors. A friend of mine grew his in a wood basket indoors sitting in water constantly, and it did well for him.

Did I mention they like moisture?

East or west window is good. Warm too.
