Won't like what I have to say, but...

Cut the spikes to within 1/2" of where they come out of the base. The orchids need to concentrate on making roots, not flowers right now.

Be sure that there is no standing water in those red cache pots. Water orchids when they are dry, judging by pot weight seems to be easiest for me. Remove from red pots and water thoroughly at sink/etc.., when they stop dripping return them to the red cache pots. A general rule of thumb is to water weekly with a weak fertilizer solution. Keeping the growing medium 'right' is a critical key to a good phal IMO, you want a wet period followed by a drying out period and then wet again right before totally dry. A cycle of about once per week seems to be the norm for indoor growers.

I only use the pretty pots when I want to show my flowers off, they usually grow most of the year without the cache pots so they get more air circulation around the roots which helps the drying out of the potting medium.

BTW: What medium are they potted in now?
