I recently bought a Vanda (I believe) and am in love with it. I come from sunny Singapore and our climate is apparently great for orchids.
Anyway, when I bought it, it was in full bloom with leaves upright. After 1 week in my house, the bottom leaves have started to droop, and has made me worry and wonder if i had underwatered or overwatered it. One of the flowers has also withered, but I think that might be natural.
I hang the Vanda right beside my kitchen window (bright but no harsh direct sun), and give it a spray on the roots every morning. The roots look healthy to me, no root rot, and they are a mixture of green and white when dry. I have been reading up and I might have underwatered them, but I am not sure!
Can someone give some direction? It means so much!
