Weird dry out like spike

Hey guys, so I am fairly new to this forum and orchid and I had this phal for a few months and it recently growing a new spike. However I just found out that the spike looks like it is dried out even though the texture is fairly firm and I just water it few days ago. So, is this a sign of dehydration or it is sick?
