Have any of you experienced shriveling at the base of an otherwise heathly pseudobulb? This has happened to my Cischweinfia rostrata and Maxillaria variabillis. It is like the pseudobulb starts dying at the base. Any advice on what might be happening here would be appreciated. Thanks¡

Have you unpotted either plant recently and checked on the roots? If you can take a photo, that might be helpful.

Oddly the roots on the Max. are great. The Ciss roots are struggling so I was not surprised when it was having problems. But the Max. was a little concerning. Thanks for the reply!
