| Hi all. I repotted my mom's terribly overgrown cymbidiums. Out of 4 pots I ended up with 15 cym's. 3-6 bulbs per 8 inch pot. I removed most of the backbulbs as the new bulbs and roots were healthy. I used Schultz's orchid bark for the first few pots, but it is terribly expensive in Canada, so I used the expandable coco-coir(50%) and Schultz orchid bark (50%) as a half/half mixture. Will this be okay? Will the roots get enough air? Has anybody used coir with cymbidiums and had success?
Thanks in advance. Mikey |
