Regrowing phalaenopsis from stem cuttings?

Hello all!

My question is rather silly, as I'm a total noob in gardening. But thank you for your time!

The thing is, my boyfriend brought home the other day a nice blooming cutting of orchid. There are couple of bulbs on the stem, and I was wondering if I could have grow a new plant from these. Can I remove the flower spikes after they wilted and plant the cut stems somehow?

I don't want to let this little one to go to the bin. If there's a way to make those bulbs sprout and grow, then I would like to give it a try.

Thank you for any reply!
