| I did it once again... was bringing my orchids in for their winter feeding. I was careless and snapped off my blue (air root) orchid's dime size blossom, right off the tip of the six inch stem. I've done this before and it bloomed again two months later. This kind of threw off the 6 to 8 month blooming cycle. My question to you folks is: Should I go ahead and cut the stem on back to where it comes out of the leaves? Is there anything else I could do for it to speed up the next flower shoot? |

| As far as i know none of the "Vanda Type" orchid will re-bloom from a spent or broken flower stem. So you might as well cut the stem back to the leaves. Some Phalaenopsis and Tolumnia will rebloom from broken flower stems and there might be other genera that do the same. |
