You can go whichever way you want it. Purely a personal question.

At this size it's kind of borderline, they get less pliable as they age. If you want it straight up on a spike you should still be able to bend it, but don't have much more of a time window to do it.

For what it's worth I just let the spikes do their thing. I don't stake a spike unless it's necessary.

I just can't believe how fast it's growing. Easily an inch every couple days!

I turn the plant as it's growing at that stage, once I see individual flower buds forming then I stop turning it and it'll grow straight toward the window. But yours is too far leaning now, if you turn it it'll still have an s shape in it.

I train mine. I just like the way it looks propped above the plant, and I prefer to keep the flowers up and out of the way of getting bumped or brushed into.

Next time I'll train it, for sure. Since this is my first one I'm going to learn how it behaves so I'm better prepared for the ones to follow.

I prefer the spike to be up above the plant as well. To me it just looks better.

I really don't know how much of a difference it really makes, but I read it somewhere and so I do it: when flowering, I always keep the same side of the pot facing the light source. When I moved it to water, I always made sure I put it back exactly the same way.
