Newbie w/ Struggling Vanda

Hello!

First post... : )

I bought a Blue Magic Vanda maybe 4 months ago, my first vanda, then moved into a new house. It took awhile to get settled so it got only really low light and humidity. Eventually, all of the leaves fell off, which seems to be typical of bad culture. I've got lights set up now (4-bulb 2ft T5 fixtures) and an ultrasonic humidifier set to mist every 1.25 hrs for 15 min... but just one, short fleshy/healthy root left (lots of dead looking ones are still hanging on though).

My question is, is there any hope? Is there any way to nurture this root to encourage leaves to grow again? Either by culture or by using some sort of growth hormone?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I suspect that your Vanda is an intergeneric and maybe it does not need the levels of humidity that you are trying to provide.
Where are you in the USA and is this your only orchid? Is there any more information on your plant tag. What sort of temperature and humidity readings are you getting near the plant?
