Hi all, I'm having trouble with one of my favorites.

I've had this one for close to 12 years. I've split it about 4 times. This is a year after the most recent split. It's the second spike since the split, granted it was the most pathetic divisions. I noticed the spike right around Halloween. Just before Thanksgiving, the tip fell off. There was a bump right behind it, so I wasn't worried. It seemed to be healing itself. I checked it, that has fallen off too. There is a growth off the side now. I usually have it blooming for me for Christmas (never know if it's the tree or the Sharry Baby that's killing me)

I have been keeping orchids on and off for 20 years. I have had all different kinds. This has never happened to me. I don't know what it is, what is causing it. The only thing new over in my plant window is the addition of an onc/psychopsis papillio and a sundew. The sundew is sharing space with the Sharry Baby but sort of separated in a container.
