My wife has had this orchid for about 15 years she says. I think its one of the Brother series but I forget which one. About 6 months ago we thought it had finally popped its clogs. It dropped all its leaves and I was ready to bin it. However, she persuaded me to keep it just a little longer. A few weeks later we saw a flower spike appear, still no leaves. I thought it couldn't possibly survive but it did and now a further 3 months later, the flower is out and a new leaf is forming.

Congrats!!! It's a beauty too! I really love the older hybrids. Newer ones are nice but there is a soft spot in my heart for the older ones. Moral of the story: always listen to your wife!

Nice bloom but I'd recommend not allowing the plant to bloom again until it puts on a few more leaves. A lot of energy goes into producing that bloom which might better be used for plant growth.
