Hey all! I just purchased my first cattleya, a NoId. I got it for a quarter of the typical cost of a cattleya in my country, so I couldn't let that deal pass me by. It has some healthy looking leaves and pseudobulbs, three sheaths (no sign of any buds, however) and I can see new root growth.

One thing I've noticed though, is that there are some spots on the sheaths. I've looked around on the internet to see if I see any cattleyas with spotted sheaths but I haven't come across any. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this with growing cattleyas and if this is a normal occurrence. The spots are only on the sheaths. As I've mentioned, the rest of the plant looks pretty healthy in my eyes.
