| I've read about how one can force a Phal a second time by cutting the spike, so i tried it on Oct 18th ( I wrote the date down to remind me if I ever was successful ) and today, Dec 6th, I saw new growth coming from the spike. I also had another spike and that too is starting to show new growth...7 weeks to take hold..not bad, eh? LOL |

| I have found this method to be successful most of the time. When I "rescue" phals with blooms that are on the way out, I trim back the tips of the spikes and a good deal of the time it will rebloom on the old spike. I also find that these blooms are not as plentiful nor as big in size as the originals. Still, it's exciting to have it bloom again. Bev |
